Welcome Statement
O humanity! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you may despise each other)…
—The Noble Qur’an, Sura 49, verse 13
The diversity of the human family is a blessing from God. This diversity is welcomed and affirmed in the Congregation of St. Thomas the Doubter. All people are welcome to participate fully in the life of the community regardless of age, race, nationality, ability, orientation, gender identity, belief, tradition, religious background, or lack thereof.
We affirm that this diversity is not only a blessing to the community of faith, but to all of human society. We therefore oppose any effort to restrict the full inclusion of anyone from our social, political, religious, or cultural life solely on the basis of any aspect of their identity or nature.
